Press Release: NRNA ICC Member (USA) Dr. Binod Shah nominated as Event Chair and Co-Host of Miss Nep
We are very humbled to announce that Dr. Binod Shah, one of the most respected personalities of Nepali Origin in the USA, will be the Event Chair and Co-Host of Miss Nepal US 2015 taking place on August 22nd at the Concert hall of NY Society of Ethical Culture, Manhattan, NY.
Dr. Binod P. Shah has lived an exemplary life of service and leadership for the last 19 years. With a humble beginning in a remote village in Nepal and life full of struggle, Dr. Shah managed to be an Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, one of the most prestigious medical institutions in the world. His contribution to strengthen the bonds of friendship within the Nepalese American community is commendable. Dr. Shah is very loved by his community members and he has served as a role model to young Nepali immigrants. His commitment to the American Nepalese community includes his leadership as the president of the America-Nepal Friendship Society, a 26 year old Nepalese American organization committing to fostering friendship between the Nepalese and American people. He is also the founder member and General Secretary of Association of Nepali Physicians in America (ANPA) and board member of America Nepal Medical Foundation. Currently, Dr. Shah also serving to the global Non Residents Nepali people as elected executive members of NRNA ICC from USA.
Organized by Event Planet Inc., USA, each year the Miss Nepal US pageant is known for adapting and bringing awareness regarding socio-cultural agendas. This year, enduring the emotions from the recent disaster that has scarred Nepal, Miss Nepal US is embracing a theme of “Rebuilding Nepal”. This year’s event will primarily be focused on charity for Nepal’s earthquake disaster relief in the hopes of recovering and rebuilding Nepal. Furthermore, in an effort to strengthen the Nepalese-American Youth relationship, to give opportunities to those who want to help Nepal, and/or have elaborately formulated relief effort concepts to support the Nepal earthquake victims, this year we are also opening our platform to the American females of all races, ages 19-29, where they will be competing for the exclusive sub-title of Miss Nepal US – Ambassador.
The grand finale of 5th Miss Nepal US along with International Art, Music & Fashion Festival- “Walk to Rebuild Nepal” will be held on August 22nd, 2015 in Concert Hall of New York Society of Ethical Culture, New York, USA. Furthermore, this year’s event will be hosted by famous American media personality and CNN/FOX News Journalist Kiran Chetry and Goodwill Ambassador of Nepal Government PM Fund for Disaster; Nepali Bollywood Actress Manisha Koirala will be gracing us with her presence as Guest of Honor & Chief Jury for 5th Miss Nepal US event.
